Silofast-4 Capsule is a medicine used to treat the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men. It is a condition that causes enlargement of the prostate glands leading to urinary problems like difficulty in urination, increased frequency, weak urine stream, etc. This medicine works by relaxing the muscles in your urinary bladder, urethra, and prostate. Silofast-4 Capsule has certain side effects such as headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, stuffy nose, abnormal ejaculation, etc. Consult your doctor if these side effects remain for a long time or become severe.

Side Effects of Silofast 4 Capsule 

 

Like all medicines, Silofast 4 Capsule 15’s can also cause side-effects, although not everybody experiences them. Ejaculation disorders (orgasm with reduced or no sperm), dizziness, diarrhoea, stuffy nose (nasal congestion), and orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering in blood pressure leading to dizziness on standing) are the common side-effects of Capsule. Drug Warnings

Do not take Silofast 4 Capsule 15’s if you are allergic to Silodosin, any alpha 1 blockers or any of its contents. To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Silofast 4 Capsule 15’s for as long as your doctor has prescribed. Please do not stop taking Silofast 4 Capsule 15’s on your own as it could lead to recurring symptoms. Inform your doctor before taking Silofast 4 Capsule 15’s if you have low blood pressure, liver or kidney disease.

Talk to your doctor before taking Silofast 4 Capsule 15’s if you are undergoing eye surgery (cataract surgery) as cases of intraoperative floppy iris syndrome (IFIS) has found in some cases. Silofast 4 Capsule 15’s is intend for use in men only; women should not take Capsule 15’s, especially pregnant or breastfeeding women. Capsule should not be give to children as the safety and efficacy have not been establish. Capsule causes dizziness, so drive with caution. Avoid or limit alcohol consumption along with Silofast 4 Capsule 15’s as it could lead to increase dizziness.

 

Drug Interactions

DRUG-DRUG INTERACTIONS: Silofast 4 Capsule 15’s may have interaction with antifungals (itraconazole, ketoconazole), blood pressure-lowering pills (verapamil, metoprolol, diltiazem), antiviral (ritonavir), immune-suppressing drugs (cyclosporine), antibiotics (clarithromycin, erythromycin), and erectile dysfunction pills (tadalafil, sildenafil).

FOOD-DRUG INTERACTIONS: Take Silofast 4 Capsule 15’s with or after food to reduce the severity of side-effects. Avoid or limit alcohol consumption along with Silofast 4 Capsule 15’s as it could lead to increased dizziness.
