Clotrimazole is an antifungal antibiotic that is used against infections caused by fungus. It comes in both oral and topical form for the treatment of infections caused by fungus.
Uses of the drug:
This medicine is primarily used in the treatment of skin infections such as athlete?s foot, jock itch, ringworm, and vaginal yeast infections. This medicine is also used for the treatment of a skin condition known as pityriasis (tenia versicolor), a fungal infection which results in lightening or darkening of the skin, neck, chest, arms, or legs. This medicine is suitable for adults and children above the age of 12 years.
Working of the drug:
This drug works by killing the fungal cell. it inhibits the synthesis of cell membrane and also disturbs its permeability. This leads to fungal cell death.

Dosage:
How much to apply the drug?
Clotrimazole comes as cream. Apply small amount of the topical product as per the doctor?s advice. generally it is applied 4-5 times a day for oral thrush (for 2 weeks), 2 times a day(2-8 weeks)?
for skin infections and once daily (for 1 week) for vaginal infections.

How to apply the drug?

While applying Clotrimazole cream, follow these steps:
Wash your hands and the skin area affected using a mild soap and water
