Cernos gel (Testosterone)

Cernos Gel is a prescription-only transdermal gel containing Testosterone 1% w/w (10 mg per gram), manufactured by Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., India. Supplied in 5 gm sachets or tubes, it is used for testosterone replacement therapy in adult men with hypogonadism, a condition where the body produces insufficient testosterone. Applied to the skin, it restores testosterone levels to alleviate symptoms like low libido, fatigue, and muscle loss. It is not for women, children, or men with prostate/breast cancer.

• Treats male hypogonadism (low testosterone), improving symptoms like impotence, infertility, low sex drive, tiredness, depression, and bone loss
• Manages delayed puberty in adolescent boys (14–17 years) under specialist supervision

How to Use

• Dosage: Apply 5 g (50 mg testosterone) once daily, preferably in the morning, to clean, dry, intact skin on shoulders, upper arms, or abdomen. Adjust dose (2.5–10 g) based on doctor’s advice and testosterone levels. Max: 10 g/day.
• Apply gel, rub gently until dry, then cover with clothing. Wash hands with soap after. Avoid showering/swimming for 5 hours post-application. Do not apply to genitals or broken skin.
